We had a short meeting with 11 members present. A special thank you to our pro-tems: Gary Bell as Worthy Patron, Malek Bouni as Associate Patron, Connie Sidel as Chaplain, and Roberta Gacsal as Warder. This was Malek's first meeting as a member and we've already put him to work!
Our Chapter By-Laws changes have not yet gone through the Grand Chapter signature process, so we continue to hold meetings twice a month.
The chapter approved four members for the Emma Evans fund. Two demits were granted. Two members were suspended, however, both have indicated that dues will be mailed with the required reinstatement fee.
A hand-out was provided of upcoming activities. As we traditionally do at this meeting, a Grand Chapter report was read.
The District Charities projects were reviewed, including Agape bags, WGP's High 5 to benefit Regenerative Medicine, and WGM's $1 "E" and "F" bills to benefit Knights Templar Eye Foundation. Collection bins / jars will be available at Chapter meetings. Service Dogs will continue to collect $1 "D" bills and dimes. There will also be a Memphis to New Orleans Riverboat Trip to benefit Regenerative Medicine and "Plant Seeds, Harvest Blessings" t-shirt sales to benefit District Charities.
Lite refreshments of pumpkin and apple donuts and apple cider were served in the dining room.

We were missing several of our regular players Bingo Night, but still had fun, as we always do when we get together.
We played 11 games with the winner of each game choosing the next game to play (regular, "H", "L", backward "L", "T", upside down "T", "X", "+", postage stamp, large frame, small frame, cover all). We play each game until we have 3 winners. It was pretty close tonight.
The overall winners were 1st place Heidi Moretti (for the 2nd month in a row), 2nd place Roberta Gacsal (1st time ever), and 3rd place Joan Draper. Congrats to all!

Our 2021 "Live Your Dash" year has come to an end. We had 13 members attend this meeting. Thanks to our protems Associate Conductress Raquel Brown, Chaplain Connie Sidel, and Warder Malek Bouni. It's great to see our new members taking an active part in our meetings!
Our by-laws change has not yet been returned by Grand Chapter. We are unable to implement the change to one meeting a month, until this is received.
Our incoming WM Gail Walsh plans for the chapter to complete the Heroines of our Star membership project this year. To this end, in November, we will send cards to our military veterans and donate prepaid phone cards to active military overseas. The chapter voted to use a recent member donation for this project, as well as the sunshine collection at our next meeting on November 4th. The Chapter decided to once again this year "ring the bells" for the Salvation Army. Incoming WM Gail will discuss dates and locations with them.
Roberta Gacsal and Sue Spore reported on their visit to New Mexico. They had a great time even though the altitude was a challenge. They were excited to receive Honorary Memberships in New Mexico Grand Chapter.
Sisters Connie Sidel and Betty Heninger presented a beautiful memorial service for the members we lost during this year: Anna Pope, Don Harrington, and Phyllis Nuber.
We are very proud of all that our chapter has accomplished this past year. Despite the pandemic, we held every meeting either virtually or in person and successfully completed all of our charitable projects, including a food drive for the Waterville Food Pantry, donations of local restaurant gift cards to the Waterville Fire Department in memory of John Hoffman, and a book drive for the Scottish Rite Dyslexia Centers in memory of Sara Myles. We continue to stay connected virtually with our monthly bingo night, book club, crafts with Joan, and music video watch party.
We wish our incoming WM & WP, Gail & Jimmie Walsh, and their officers all the best in 2022!

Our first meeting of the "Time" year was held at Northern Light Lodge. WM Gail & WP Jimmie Walsh were not present, as Gail was attending the GGC Installation at the Perry Belmont House in Washington DC.
We had new collection boxes at Registration for the various Grand Chapter charitable projects - Agape, District Charities, Knight's Templar Eye Foundation, Regenerative Medicine, and Service Dogs.
Our Sunshine Collection for the evening went to our November "Heroines of our Star" project, which is to purchase phone cards for active military deployed overseas. With prior donations, we raised $153. Thanks to all! We will also be sending "thank you" cards to our chapter veterans.
Upcoming activities will be announced via email and Facebook. 3 of our 8 remaining officers were installed: Associate Matron Jane Myers, Secretary Bob Wymer, and Sentinel Sandy Wymer. The chapter voted to hold a special meeting for the purpose of open installation later in November to install those with health challenges, who are unable to attend a stated meeting.
Our Chapter By-Laws changes were approved by Grand Chapter. We now hold one stated meeting a month on the first Thursday.
Resolutions of Respect were read for our sister Marilyn Braatz.

We were happy to be back for "Crafts with Joan" after a two month break. We made German Bells. Present were Gail Walsh, Debi Huffman, Clara Nichols with friend Debbie, Roberta Ekleberry, Denise Moomey, Sue Spore, and our oh-so-patient craft leader Joan Draper. We didn't need much in the way of supplies, but there was a lot of paper folding to do!

We held a special meeting to install our Treasurer Jeanne Roesler and Organist Bob Roesler. Due to health reasons, Jeanne is not able to join us for our regular meetings. So, we rounded up 5 additional officers to have a quorum, masked up, maintained social distance, and held an open installation by vote of chapter. It was great to see Jeanne and Bob, if only for such a short time. Joining Jeanne and Bob were Connie Sidel, Gail & Jimmie Walsh, Betty Heninger, and Debi Huffman (not in photo).
