During Opening Remarks, WM Joan read a letter home from her travels. She had visited the Jell-O Museum and eaten at a restaurant with toy trains overhead. There were many vineyards, the Herkimer Diamond Mines, Erie Canal Lock 18, and the Barn Quilt Trail. During Sunshine, the Organist played "Strolling Through the Park". Where was she? Under Good of the Order, Lee Ann Eicher was the first to guess "New York". We played a trivia game, where we matched the name of a New York city with its famous resident. During Closing Remarks, WP Jimmie shared with us information about Samuel Wilson, a meat packer from Troy, New York, who is reputed to be the original "Uncle Sam". After the meeting in Harmony Hall, we played another trivia game, where four clues were given and members had to guess which one did not belong in New York.

We had a good turn-out, when we visited Maumee Assembly #30 for their initiation. One of the new girls is the daughter of our member, Cassie Braithwaite, and granddaughter of Zoe and Charlie Murphy. How wonderful to see these young ladies become part of our Masonic family! Attending from Triune were Anna Banachowsi, Cassie Braithwaite, Joan Draper, Alaina Hem, Debi Huffman, Karen Ruscoe, Janice Sharp, Laura Sharp, and Gail Walsh. Janice is the Mother Advisor. Others helped fill offices/stations, including Anna as Recorder, Alaina as Charity, and Laura as Musician.

We were "home for the holidays", so no stop on our "See the USA" journey. The WP shared with us a number of Christmas traditions from around the world. The WM wrapped up with a story about caganer, a tradition dating back to the 18th century in Catalonia and continuing today in parts of Spain, France, Italy, and Portugal. After the meeting, we had our traditional white elephant gift exchange with brother Eric Erickson calling out the cards.
