We were SO excited to be back at Browning today for our "Crafts with Joan". This was our first activity with the residents since February 2020, almost 2 years ago. We had 7 residents, including our first gentleman and 2 OES sisters, Loleta Harrington and Shirley Paison. Helping Joan Draper today, as we made snowmen, were Debi Huffman and Sue Spore.

Worthy Matron Gail Walsh opened the stated meeting meeting with a New Year's thought.
We had 10 members present: Worthy Matron Gail Walsh, Worthy Patron Jimmie Walsh, Associate Patron Gary Bell (pro-tem Sentinel), Conductress Debi Huffman, Chaplain Joan Draper, Adah Raquel Brown, Esther Sue Spore (pro-tem Secretary), Electa Loleta Harrington, Warder Lee Ann Eicher, and Roberta Gacsal (pro-tem Associate Matron). We had one visitor, Shirley Paison, a member of Fulton Chapter. All were warm and comfortable in their winter shirts / sweaters.
Balloting was held and the petitioner elected to receive the degrees. The initiation date will be confirmed once the Inspection calendar is released.
Crown & Scepter does not meet in January. The next meeting will be in February via Zoom.
Maumee #30 IORG will hold an Installation of Officers on Saturday, January 22nd at 2:00 p.m. We will post a list of the 2022 Board Members, when the names are confirmed. The chapter voted to donate $100 to the Assembly toward the cost of a keyboard, as the Maumee Lodge, where they meet, no longer has a piano.
All of the shut-in gifts were delivered to members before Christmas. We are collecting wrapped snacks and k-cup coffee pods for the Victory Center as our project for January - February. Contact Debi Huffman if you have items to donate. Monetary donations can be made through Triune Chapter.
We received a donation from a Triune friend and former Browning resident, who now resides in FL. The chapter voted to direct 50% to The Victory Center project and 50% to the Grand Chapter Agape project.
Reservations for the Century Club Dinner Dance on March 12th are due by February 14th. Swarm #2 EOP #3, Exemplification of Initiation by Grand Officers, will be hosted by Region D at Perrysburg on Friday, March 11th.
We celebrated Gary Bell's birthday.
Our February stated meeting will be Thursday, February 3rd. The blouses / shirts will be Valentine's Day colors (red, pink, white).
Worthy Matron Gail Walsh closed with a thought about "time". Afterwards, we enjoyed homemade cookies provided by Joan Draper.

We had 7 for Bingo Night: Sue Spore, Debi Huffman, Karen Schwab, Roberta Gacsal, Lisa Bachman, Heidi Moretti, and Joan Draper. 5 of our regulars were missing due to other commitments.
We played fewer games tonight (10), as a number of games weren't finished until the last card was drawn. We start with a regular bingo, then the 1st place winner in each game selects the next game to be played. Tonight we had regular bingo, large picture frame, "+", "L", "H", small picture frame, "X", 4 corners, coverall all, and bottom left & bottom right postage stamps. We play each game until we have 3 winners.
The overall winners were: 1st place Sue Spore, 2nd place tie Lisa Bachman and Heidi Moretti, and 3rd place Roberta Gacsal. Congrats to all!

The songs were all about the sun and sand, as we enjoyed our "Beach Time" Music Video Watch Party.

Our crafter extraordinaire, Joan Draper, took it easy on us at "Crafts with Joan", as we made origami flowers with candy for Valentine's Day. Several in the group already have plans to use these for upcoming events.
Participating were Joan Draper, Debi Huffman, Debbie Somerlot, Clara Nichols, Angela Keiter, Roberta Eckleberry, and Denise Moomey. We missed several of our regulars, who had other commitments.
