Our "See the USA" year came to an end. WM Joan's letter home shared remembrances of her 2016 officers and thoughts on her year in the East. Gail Walsh and Karen Ruscoe presented a beautiful memorial service for our sisters June Thrasher-Moore, Pauline Hopkins, Frances Ashbacher, Nancy Warner, Emma Harrison, and Julia Lucas. After the meeting, AM Denise Moomey presented the outgoing WM Joan and WP Jimmie Walsh (who experienced an attack of the "sillies") with gifts from their officers. Perhaps WM Joan will send us postcards from her upcoming travels, as she heads out to "See the USA" soon. Safe travels! |

Applebutter 2016 is over. For the third year, Triune Chapter worked with Grand Rapids Masonic Lodge on a Front Street food booth. We enjoyed the beautiful fall day and the music coming at us from both Beaver Street and Mill Street. It was a lot of work! Many thanks to all, who helped in any way (clean kitchen, shop for supplies, bake apple crisp, prepare Coney sauce, work shift). We had wonderful support from so many members and a successful fundraiser. Unfortunately, we were so busy we didn't think about getting many photos. Only 361 days until Applebutter 2017! |

Short meeting with a number of officers missing due to vacations and other commitments. 4 officers, who were unable to attend Installation were installed: Chaplain, Lee Ann Eicher, Marshal, Trevor Hudgins, Adah, Justine Dyer, and Martha, Connie Sidel. We continue to accept donations in October and November toward the Quilts of Valor project. The donations will be used to purchase supplies. During Good of the Order, WM Denise and WP Gary presented their first "Super Star" certificate of appreciation to Debi Huffman. |

Members really got into the spirit of the "Halloween Spooktakular" evening. WM Denise and WP Pro-tem Jimmie recognized Chapter Super Star, Joan Draper, for her remarkable year and many contributions, including the monthly crafts at Browning. After the meeting, awards were presented for "best" costume: cat lady Debi Huffman, golfer Jimme Walsh, bedtime baby Connie Sidel, Miss Liberty Gail Walsh, and fiesta Justine Dyer. |

Congratulations to Brother John Hoffman on his installation as Worshipful Master of Rubicon Lodge and to sister Robin Webb Hoffman, who did an amazing job planning the dinner and reception and decorating Harmony Hall. On hand to help with the dinner and reception were WM Denise Moomey, Joan Draper, and Debi Huffman. We wish Rubicon Lodge all the best this coming year under John's leadership! Only 14 members attended due to various illnesses and work / travel commitments. We wish all the best to those who are experiencing health challenges and safe travels to those, who are away from home. $206.30 was raised toward our Quilts of Valor project. The new Worshipful Master of Rubicon Lodge, John Hoffman, thanked the Chapter for their help with his installation. He presented a red rose to all of the ladies present. Jimmie Walsh was recognized as a Super Star for all of the help he provides to others behind the scenes. Pictured: WM Denise Moomey, Jimmie Walsh, WP Gary Bell |

In keeping with the "Reaching for the Stars" theme this year, WM Denise opened the meeting with a star-themed poem and WP Pro-Tem Jimmie ended with star facts. Our Organist, Bob Roesler, provided wonderful Christmas music throughout the meeting. We raised $100 in our Sunshine collection toward gifts for our two Angel Tree children. Bob Wymer was recognized as a Super Star for making our chapter shine and being an angel by helping others. After the meeting, we held our annual White Elephant gift exchange. Needless to say, some were thrilled with their gift, others not so much. Pictured: WM Denise Moomey, Bob Roesler, WP Pro-Tem Jimmie Walsh |
